Into the wild

Glued to my laptop for three hours continuously I was mesmerized with undulating waves about the practicality of life. I had been watching a movie called Into the wild . Its based on the real life story of Christopher McCandless (actually adapted from best selling book Into the wild (1996) ) . The movie shows that he lived extremely austere lifestyles refraining from sensual pleasures and the accumulation of material wealth. In this renunciation of worldly pursuit he leaves away from this father (a narrow mind rich guy) and his mother, but keeps in touch with his sister. He never reveals his location to anyone but for himself doesn't know where he intends to go.

He repays all the money to his dad which he had spend on him. And for the remaining money he had, burns them on road and starts walking away. I was just impressed !!! For once I could conjoin with someone's thought regarding a printed number on a dirty paper which carries more value than human itself. I would love a life like him but I can't. Unlike him, I love my family more than anything else and a few who count on me. He lived in the wild Alaska far from any civilization in a derelict bus and dies after 112 days upon starvation and intoxication of potato roots which he had taken as food in the wild.

As far as the Indians are concerned (generally) they get easily inspired but will never act upon it. For instance they want a lot of change to the current system but they would never be the change for it to happen. But not anymore, not me ! I will do what I inspire upon.

As a person with lot of passion for travel and meeting people, I have done a bit of Into the wild. YES !!., One person, Two weeks and Three countries.

(my fascination will continue..do keep up ! :D )
